In 1987, I got a finished .40-size Top Flite Contender from DePratt Watson in the Wilson RC Modelers Association (WRCMA). He had beautifully finished it, but had never flown it. I added an few stripes to the wing and tail, installed a Futaba 4ch AM radio on 72 mhz ch 12, and dropped in a Rossi .61 with a tuned pipe. Wow, this was a rocket ship!!!! I had so much fun with this, and finally lost it due to a servo failure around 1991. I'm searching for pics... these are not of my airplane, but gives you an idea of the look.
Nothing special, just various bits and pieces from my RC hobby adventures. I enjoy building, flying sport, and tinkering with RC Airplanes. Check out my webpage at www.RCDave.net, email to me at wb4iuy@gmail.com

Telescopes, 12-21-2025
This isn't about RC Flying, but it is at the RDRC Flying Site :-) ... We've been enjoying our son and his family while they're here from Indiana. A couple of nights ago (12-21-2025), we took the telescopes and 4 generations of men, out to the RDRC flying site and set them up. Desmond's great granddad, granddad, and dad were there. It was cold, but we had a good time! Chris has more photos, they'll get uploaded later.

Vintage Radio Collection
I love these old vintage radios. This is part of a collection we accumulated over the years. You may recognize some or all of these. These are not used today at most flying sites due to poor performance, poor range, wide transmitter bandwidth, etc....but these nostalgic beauties sure are fun to look at! Here's a batch of photos, come take a trip back in time with me...
